Charles Chisholm
CANTON [MS] — Charles Wayne Chisholm, age 78, of Canton, MS, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2013. He died at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS after a brief illness.
Mr. Chisholm was born May 26, 1934 at Baldwyn, Mississippi. His parents were
Luther and Ora Chisholm.
Mr. Chisholm lived in Baldwyn, MS before moving to Canton in 1981. There he opened and
operated Chisholm's Used Tires for the last 32 years.
Mr. Chisholm was married to Elizabeth Floyd Chisholm of Marietta, MS on November 1, 1952.
They had been married for 60 years at the time of his death.
He was a member at Center Terrace Baptist Church, Canton where he served as a Deacon.
Survivors include: wife, Elizabeth Floyd Chisholm; daughters, Rannah (Bobby) Carr of Baldwyn,
Denise (Thomas) Hodnett of Tupelo, Andrea (Tommy) Mitchell of Lucedale, Tracy Chisholm of
Saltillo, and Heather Chisholm of Saltillo; six grandchildren, Stacey (Robby) Sandlin, Jordan
(Derek) Farrar, Rachel Hodnett, Drew (Tabitha) Mitchell, Lesley Mitchell, and Kelsey (Rob) Hunt;
six great-grandchildren, Mary Carrson Sandlin, Aydan, Brylee, Eli, and Aynslee Farrar, and Riley
Mitchell.
Mr. Chisholm was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Ora Chisholm, and one
grandchild, Bradley Hall.
Services will be held on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Breeland Funeral Home, Canton, MS.
Visitation will be 1 - 3 pm with a memorial service following at 3:00 pm. Graveside services will
be at 1:00 pm on Monday, February 11, 2013 at Lebanon Cemetery in Baldwyn, MS.
