George Walter Floyd
BOONEVILLE [MS] - Services for Walter Floyd of Route 4, Booneville, were held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Zion Rest Church of Christ, east of Booneville, with Rev. E. W. Wade of the Marietta Church of Christ officiating. He was 54.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with McMillan Funeral Home in
charge.
Mr. Floyd, a native of Prentiss County and a farmer here for years,
died at his home, at 9:30 [a.m.] on July 18 [1960]. He suffered a
heart attack.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Ruth Bolton Floyd; two sons, Harrell Floyd
of Zion, Ill., Kenneth Floyd of Booneville; seven daughters, Miss
[Mary] Mauveline Floyd of Zion, Ill., Mrs. Bobbie Huddleston of
Booneville, Mrs. Elizabeth Chisholm of Guntown, Miss., Miss Martha
Floyd of Booneville, Mrs. Sarah Parker of Memphis, Miss Barbara Jean
Floyd of Booneville, and Miss Evelyn Floyd of Booneville.
He also leaves four sisters, Mrs Charlie Honeycutt of Charleston,
Miss., Mrs. Clarence McCutcheon of Rienzi, Mrs. Maude Ray of
Booneville and Mrs. Burlyn Taylor of Zion, Ill., and six
grandchildren.
